Happy Birthday, America!

The year 2026 is the semi-quincentennial of the United States of America. In other words, it’s our country’s 250th birthday!  Come celebrate with the Holly Springs Community Band as we pay tribute to the history, heroes, and scenic beauty of this great country.  America, you don’t look a day over 249!

Triangle Community Band Festival

The Durham Community Concert Band is hosting the 8th Annual Triangle Community Band Festival on Saturday June 13th at 6pm in the Durham Central Park Pavilion!

Five local community bands will perform: the Cary Town Band, Raleigh Concert Band, Durham Community Concert Band, Holly Springs Community Band, and the Village Band.  Food Vendors will be on site and the event is free and open to the public.

Salamanders Baseball

The Holly Springs Community Band plays a pregame  concert, then performs the National Anthem for the game opener. The Holly Springs Salamanders are an amateur baseball team in the Coastal Plain League made up of collegiate players. The team plays its home games at Ting Stadium in Holly Springs — a family-friendly baseball venue featuring entertainment and concessions.

Holly Springs Farmers Market

Holly Springs Community Band brings live music to the Holly Springs Farmers Market with a lively outdoor performance. Visitors can enjoy a fun mix of pop favorites, patriotic tunes, and familiar concert band classics while shopping for local produce, crafts, and baked goods.

American Originals

Each year, the Holly Springs Community Band enjoys the opportunity to perform outdoors at beautiful Fletcher Park as part of the City of Raleigh’s Concert in the Park Series.  Our concert this year pays tribute to the 250th birthday of America and is entitled “American Originals.”  It features music that originated in the United States such as folk songs, Dixieland, swing, jazz, and rock ‘n roll.
